Kimmel/Damon Feud Keep Going

Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon have had a long standing comic fued going. It all started during the third season of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, when the host made a tradition of closing out episodes with, "Apologies to Matt Damon, but we ran out of time," even though the actor was never scheduled to come on the show. The joke continued in September 2006 when Damon finally appeared as a guest. After a segment which explained the gag – and a lengthy introduction by Kimmel – Damon sat down, only to have the host cut him off and end the show. As planned, the actor unleashed a flurry of curse words on Kimmel and proceeded to storm off the set. His performance was so believable, many fans thought he was truly upset.

Now it was Damon's turn to get back at Kimmel. With the help of Kimmel's girlfried, Sarah Silverman, the two made a hilarious video called "I'm F*****g Matt Damon" it's really funny! I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA5BnTrFAx0, now in retalliation Kimmel and Damon's BFF Ben Affleck have made their own video called "I'm F*****g Ben Affleck" which is equally hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVv4A0r3wxU The new video features cameo's of several celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt, Robin Williams, Huey Lewis, Joan Jett. Macy Gray, Don Cheadle and several others in a parody of We are the World. I laughed so hard through both of these videos I had to watch them several times each lol.

Hell on Earth

Hell on Earth is a widely known place called Walmart. I went there last weekend with one of my sister's who swears by the place. She can overlook little things that I can't, like the toothless, greasy haired, deoderant challenged, rude, illiterate, inconsiderate, inbred, who's your daddy, trailer park living, spam eating, Milwaukee's Best drinking, would you like fries with that, polyester wearing, dirt nuggets that are attracted to this place like bugs to a bug zapper. Speaking of how cool would that be to have a giant dirt nugget zapper? All you'd have to do is have a lottery giving away free double wides to draw them in and ZAP they'd all be gone!! Now that would be something to see!

Stimulus Package Approved

It's been signed and is a done deal. What are you going to do with your check? I'm going to bank most of mine and use a little of it for our vacation in July.

Writers Strike Over

With the writers’ strike finally over, the networks have begun to announce who will go back into production, and it doesn’t look pretty for struggling fashionista series Lipstick Jungle on NBC and ABC’s Cashmere Mafia. Sources say their futures may be way out of season. “There’s been talk that NBC wanted to cancel Lipstick before it even aired,” sources close to the show reveal. Still there hasn’t been any official announcement of either show’s demise; so there may be time for a comeback.

Here are other shows we’re hearing probably won’t be back in fall ’08.

ABC
Women’s Murder Club
Carpoolers
Big Shots
Notes from the Underbelly
Cavemen

NBC
Friday Night Lights
Bionic Woman
Life
Las Vegas

CBS
MoonlightCane

THE CW
Reaper
Life is Wild
The Game

Girlfriends (according to sources, Monday night’s episode was the show’s last)

I kinda liked Lipstick Jungle last week, hard to tell after only one episode. I love Women's Murder Club, that one has me bummed out, the other shows on this list I don't watch.

Make Your Own Damn Dinner

This is a blog written by a woman who made two separate meals every night, one for herself and her hubby, and another meal for her kids who were picky eaters. They became finicky eaters by her own admission and she's trying to correct that, so as a summer experiment she had the kids plan their own dinner menus which had to be approved by her and have to include a protein and veggie and/or fruit. She is a riot, her sense of humor is just my style, sarcastic! Read her profile, she's hysterically funny! Plus she has some really yummy sounding recipes and dinner ideas on her blog. I know Vic and I both go through "ruts" and feel like we're cooking the same things over and over and look for different recipes to add to our culinary experiences. Check it out! http://make-your-own-damn-dinner.blogspot.com/

so on my bored moments

I know imagine a mom of 4 kids being bored. your probably shuttering at the thought of that LOL. I love to search the blogs through here. and the things that i have learned when i go on these little ventures is:

1. I have no clue why I always end up at the ones that are in another language
2. that i seriously need to learn new languages and how to read them (you never know when someone is talking about you and you don't know it ;O) )
3. there are some ummm "interesting" people out there
4. people will say and do anything on a blog (i know that was a real shocker LOL)
5. why does google think i know how to read blogs with symbols
6. are you serious when you posted that picture of yourself?
7. maybe i need to go play some more pogo cause i don't spend enough time on that site as is
8. that i desperately need a life and my husband to make it
9. who blogs about Ashley Tiesdale and those other High School Musical people. maybe they are the ones who need the life LOL
10. that my kids really do need me to make them dinner

I am so OVER

our school bus system. We had a problem with our school bus driver. My kids came flying, and I mean flying, into our house on Friday afternoon telling us that the bus driver had told 2 little girls that they where smart asses. And yes that is the EXACT words he used. Now mind you this is NOT a high school bus but an elementary school bus. Then he told them "I need to round all of you up and shoot you!" Okay and OMG who says that to kids. Again this is elementary school. Let's just give these kids nightmares thinking the bus driver is going to kill them. The neighborhood was OUTRAGED to say the least. Now here in this county (can't speak for other's) the school will tell you they have no jurisdiction over the buses! WHAT??? OMG I put my kids on one of YOUR buses and you have no say in who drives them??? So anyway we ALL call the bus people and they say "We can't fire him until we conduct an investigation!" Again WHAT????? Now if anyone of our kids had said something like that they would have been kicked off the bus, expelled from school and we would have had a cop at our door so fast it wouldn't even be funny!! GUARANTEED this would have been done BEFORE any investigation was conducted!!! Okay so they put a supervisor on the bus with this man. Now how STUPID is that. Let's think about this... we have all worked at some point... when the supervisor is around we are ALL on our best behavior!! When he/she is gone we go back to doing whatever we where doing when they are not around. Come on how freaking idiotic is that? As soon as she isn't on there anymore he will go right back to doing what he did and saying whatever the hell he feels like. This is there idea of investigating it?? OMG how crazy is that? Now mind you not ONE parent has been called! Not ONE student has been asked about it. And mind you, because I forgot to mention it earlier EVERY last one of them had the SAME story. This is OUT of control.

So anyway, one of the VP's at the school had so many parents calling and pulling there kids off the bus it was crazy. Our neighborhood bonded together to work out how to get them back and forth to school without having to be on the bus. This alerted her that something was very wrong with this. So she, just out of curiosity, had all the 4th and 5th grade student write a letter stating what had happened last Friday on the bus. And what do you know they ALL HAD THE EXACT SAME STORY. There was NO variation to it at all. This floored her because kids always have different stories about the way things happened. NOT the case here at all. they where ALL the same. Needless to say she was outraged. So she called the bus people and told them to get that bus driver the hell off our route and he was NEVER to drive for RD Head again. that she was calling the police and reporting him.

How sad is it that a VP had to do the work for the bus people because they did NOTHING!!! He would still have a job if she had not taken the time to listen to the kids and what they had to say!!!

I am still outraged by this and think I might still call the news people because this is just not right that kids are NOT listened to.

Bill would make it illegal to feed the obese

Three legislators want to make it illegal for restaurants to serve obese customers in Mississippi.
House Bill No. 282, which was introduced this month, says: Any food establishment to which this section applies shall not be allowed to serve food to any person who is obese, based on criteria prescribed by the State Department of Health after consultation with the Mississippi Council on Obesity Prevention and Management established under Section 41-101-1 or its successor. The State Department of Health shall prepare written materials that describe and explain the criteria for determining whether a person is obese, and shall provide those materials to all food establishments to which this section applies. A food establishment shall be entitled to rely on the criteria for obesity in those written materials when determining whether or not it is allowed to serve food to any person.
The proposal would allow health inspectors to yank the permit from any restaurant that "repeatedly" feeds extremely overweight customers.
The bill, written by GOP Rep. W. T. Mayhall Jr., was referred to the Judiciary and Public Health committees, but The Jackson Free Press doesn't expect it to garner much support in the statehouse.
About two-third of Mississippians are considered overweight or obese, according to a recent analysis of federal health data.

Taxpayers would get checks under economic stimulus plan

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. taxpayers would get checks of several hundred dollars from the federal government under a plan to stimulate the economy, congressional and Bush administration officials said Thursday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, right, and House Minority Leader John Boehner announce the package Thursday.

"Tens of millions Americans will have a check in the mail," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, said at a Capitol Hill news conference. "It is there to strengthen the middle class, to create jobs and to turn this economy around."
House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said, "I'm looking for quick action in the House. I hope that the Senate will follow quickly so that we can put this money in the hands of middle-income Americans as soon as possible." Speaking a few minutes later at the White House, President Bush said the package will "boost our economy and encourage job creation."
Sources on Capitol Hill and at the Treasury Department said the plan would send checks of $600 to individuals and $1,200 to couples who paid income tax and who filed jointly.
People who did not pay federal income taxes but who had earned income of more than $3,000 would get checks of $300 per individual or $600 per couple.

A Democratic aide and Republican aide said there will be an additional amount per child, which could be in the neighborhood of $300.
Those who earn up to $75,000 individually or up to $150,000 as a couple will be eligible for the payments, said Republican and Democratic sources familiar with the tentative deal.

I wonder if that is $300/child or an extra $300 for families with children. If it's per child Vic you'll clean up! LOL I'm not really sure if this will stimulate the economy but it stimulates me in all the right places, send my check!
