You Know The Music Is To Loud

When you're in your car with the windows up and the cop in the lane next to you with his windows also up tells you to turn it down lol. I put my window down, flashed him a smile and said "can I wait until the song is over?" he laughed and said "ok blondie since you asked so sweet." And I continued rocking on lol. I can't help it if I like my rock & roll LOUD.

In 2002, I was driving thru Virginia Highlands with Springsteen's new CD "The Rising" blaring away. A cop on a bike pulled up next to me at a light and tapped on my window. I asked if it was too loud, he said, "Nah, I just wanted to compliment you on your taste in music - isn't that the best Bruce ever?" Since the CD is about 9/11 and the cops/firemen who were heroes that day, I thanked him for what he does day in/day out, and he thanked me for saying so.

What started out as a presumed 'turn it down, son' warning ended up being the highlight of my day!

Good thing he didn't see the two women I had tied up in the back seat...

Calm down. I let them go.

First I think I need to call and have a talk with Wendy and fill her in on this "want" of having either her or yourself tied up ;O)Oh and yuck ;O) on Springsteen (with Mary on that one)

You know I only remember once a cop ever telling me to turn my music down. It was as I past him because of a wreck. But all he did was a motion at me to turn it down. Past him and up it went again :O)

with you on that Joanne... if it music and it playing it needs to be LOUD!!

Vicki,
Wendy's well aware of the tied up thing. In fact, I'm typing with my nose right now... ;-)

How can someone love Seger and not like Springsteen? Not that they are synonymous, but my gosh, they do have similar fan bases and styles.

Ok Tommy you are scaring me ;O) remind me to keep Lop far far away from you whenever you are doing something together. Don't want him to be getting any ideas from you hahahahaha

Not sure how i like one and not the other. I will give you Born In The USA and Pink Cadillac but other than that I just can not get into him. It may also be a part that he is so left wing that he just loses me. So many "stars" and folks like that have lost their appeal to me.

I like Seger and am not a Springsteen fan either, imagine that.

Tommy you worry me, I didn't know about your rope fetish! Were you a boy scout? Is that how all this started while you were getting your knot tying badge? They probably have a 12-step for this. :)

They have a 12 step program for everything. But, no I wasn't a Boy Scout. I'm just beating a joke into the ground - that's all.

What really concerns me is your lack of appreciation for Mr. Springsteen. There's a 12 step program for that too!

I gotta say, while he's been very outspoken about the war, I don't think Bruce is so far to the left that he's all that polarizing. For the most part, he keeps his politics in his lyrics, and I think an artist is free to do that. When he does speak out, he seems much more informed than many of the bubbleheads (Hello, Rosie) who just blurt anti-this-or-that statements.

But I know he's not everyone's cup o' tea. Wendy really can't tolerate his music either. And I married her anyway!

As in-you tied the knot?!!

Yep, the old ball and chain...

You know also Tommy with the Seger thing. I grew up right outside of Detroit so I grew up on Seger. I have stupid trivia about him in my head. So that may be why i like one and not the other. That and the words to his songs.

But glad to know another I can not stand Rosie fan. That women just went stone crazy LOL

Getting on the I hate Rosie train! Hate that blowhard, she's abrasive and obnoxious.
