Family Begs for $1M to Buy Apartment!!

In the classifieds of New York magazine, a place we once only went to for full body massages and Mature Mates of Means matchmaking services, we came across a personal ad from an Upper West Side family in search of a "philanthropic, wealthy person who would not miss a million bucks" to give them said million dollars to buy a place. Otherwise, they might have to move to Westchester or, even worse, Westport! See for yourself.

"WE NEED HELP BUYING AN APARTMENT on the UWS, 3bd 2 bath. YOU are a philanthropic, wealthy person who would not miss a million bucks and would be interested in donating (or even investing) in a highly targeted manner: to my family. WE are a wonderful, hard working middle class family who contributes to our UWS community, is entrenched, happy and desperately wants to remain on the UWS (lest the city lose yet another wonderful family to the burbs). We can afford 600-700K, so you see the predicament. Can you help us??" PlsHelpUsBuyAnApt@gmail.com

Are you kidding me??? I mean seriously!! They can afford $600-$700K and they are crying poor? I also love how they keep saying how wonderful they are, a little modest are we? This is beyond ridiculous.

You are so not even kidding. Hell maybe I should take out an ad like that. Wonder if they got any bites on it. I don't even need a million LOL a half would do ;O)

How about just $100K lol?? Compared to them we wouldn't look greedy at all! That story still blows me away at how much freaking nerve some people have.

What middle class family can afford a $500 - $600 K locale?

Still, you'd be surprised what some folks will do, so they might just get a response.

This actually has the earmarks of a great Stephen King story. Family has the gall to make this request, a wealthy psycho answers the ad, buys them a place, but won't leave them alone. Soon, the family members begin to disappear...

Ooooh, I'm so gonna go write this.

That sounds like a great thriller Tommy, you should totally write it!
